noun, 1) jokes, gentle paeans to motherhood, inspirational homilies, fake virus alerts, various urban legends, and that damned Neiman-Marcus cookie recipe, forwarded incessantly by email by the recipient's mother. 2) variant: fam-spam; the same thing as mom-spam, but sent by any older family member; generally milder and less annoying as mom-spam.
