Most templates and PPT presentation deliverables start with an executive summary that may contain a host of claims. A road_map template can make the presentation shorter and more direct. It will give you a clean cut to your report and help others to identify with what you are presenting.
Do not take this as a simple explanation as to how a presentation starts but rather the basic idea of the road map template. A road map starts with a set of headings that create the frame of your page. In our example, it would include titles such as Mission, Scope, Management Statement, and Goals.
The top of the page is the mission statement, or focus of the report. Be sure to clearly spell out the objective of the presentation. Then, work backwards, from the top of the page to describe the next section of the document. This serves to remind yourself that the goal is to reach the bottom of the page.
You should have two budgets. When you deliver the presentation, include a budget at the top of the page. The second budget will be referred to in the body of the document. The language used in the budget is important and be sure to clarify what exactly you are charging for. Finally, provide several categories for what is not included in the budget, along with the price for each.
Next, make sure to introduce yourself and explain how you came to be a consultant. By doing so, it allows your audience to get to know who you are and what you are about before they move onto your summary.
The second step in creating the road map is to set up a management statement that defines your organization. Be sure to be accurate in this section and ensure that it is precise in your description. In our example, we will use business processes and marketing practices as examples.
If there are multiple payers in your organization, use the business practices section to provide examples of how you have included payment. You will have to include a number of additional cost items for your summary. These items will vary based on the size of your organization.
The third step is to present the overview. You will need to come up with some kind of a summary for your report. For our example, the summary will be given on the first page of the template. This gives the reader a straight_forward introduction to the presentation and as a result will benefit the majority of readers.
Add an outline of your business operations to show what your clients can expect and how your company will generate revenue in the future. Explain how you will follow up on each of your leads to ensure you can easily keep in touch with them and continue to provide value to them.
The final analysis is the most important in your report and should be included in your template. Here, you can focus on explaining what led to the success of your client and how it can be replicated in the future.
The final analysis is also the most difficult and should be written in a unique way. Use keywords or key phrases to find your audience and generate more traffic to your site.
Follow these three steps when you are creating your road map template. Make sure that you understand what each section means and understand how your audience will benefit from the content you include in the final analysis.
