Free Microsoft word resumes are a great way to impress your prospective employer with your accomplishments and work history. Microsoft word is an application which can be used on any computer system, even on a MAC. To access a Microsoft word resume on your MAC, you have to download it from Microsoft's website. Here is a step by step guide to use your free resume template.

Open Microsoft word, find the option menu for editing, and then select "Add New". This will bring up a screen where you can select either the "New Resumes" or "Export" option.

Click "New Resumes" and then enter the following information into the fields of the template: First Name _ The name of the person you want to create your resume under. Work Experience _ A description of your past work experiences that include the dates, places, and responsibilities.

Job Location _ This field is optional but is highly recommended if you are applying for a job in another country. Be sure to enter this field if the position you are applying for requires you to work outside of the United States.

In order to save your resume, you must first click the "Save As" button. Once you have done this, you will need to select the format of the resume that you would like to use. If you would like to use a Microsoft word resume then you will need to select the "WORD" format option. You may also be able to select the "PDF" or "PSD" format which is an Adobe reader version of Microsoft word.

If you do not wish to use Microsoft word to create your resume then you can use other software programs which are designed to create resumes. One such program is Quick Resumes which is easy to use and has thousands of templates to choose from.

If you are using Microsoft word as your resume template then you will also need a word processor program to order to make a back up copy of your resume to distribute to people you intend to interview. so they can take a look at it before they decide to contact you for an interview.
