Many label templates in Word can be imported from a number of different sources including MS Access, Oracle, and Access. Other templates are stand alone products such as Microsoft Access or WordPress. Because templates in Word tend to be more robust than stand alone applications there is usually a long term license attached to them.

This means that once you start using the template you have to agree to an indefinite term license agreement. This may be an issue for some small businesses who only run one or two templates in Word, but as we will see in a moment the flexibility of template licensing is beneficial to all businesses.

This type of licensing is not always necessary for large businesses because they already have access to MS Access and its many applications. Small businesses should seek out a template that is licensed for a longer period of time in order to enjoy the many advantages that come with it.

The reason that such a license is necessary is that many of the larger companies that buy templates in Word need to be able to integrate them into their existing business processes and operating systems without breaking the license agreement. Often, companies that run a number of templates in Word cannot do this on their own because of the significant amount of engineering work that must be done. Instead, it is these large companies that pay licensing fees to developers that can make the integration possible.

There are three different types of licenses available to templates in Word. The first is a "permanent" license that will remain active forever, allowing the company to use the template at any time without breaking the license agreement. This type of license is often preferred by large companies that need their templates to be available to employees and clients for years at a time.

The second type of license is a "perpetual" license that is renewed every twelve months. The only limitation on the number of times the license can be renewed is the developer's ability to continue to add new features to the template. This type of license is typically the most expensive license and is best reserved for businesses that require access to the template on a regular basis.

A third type of license is a "perpetual" license agreement that is subject to a limited number of downloads. This type of license is also usually reserved for large businesses that need to be able to have a large number of users access the template on a regular basis. This type of license is usually cheaper than the other two but is not as flexible.

The problem with choosing between the other two types of licenses for template is that in most cases it is easy to adapt the template for a new company or operation by simply modifying the HTML files that are included in the template. By doing this small changes can allow a template to be imported into an existing system without any problems or restrictions.

Because template licensing in Word is so versatile, it is an advantage for small businesses that need to be able to import a template without incurring costs. The ability to immediately integrate the template into a company's systems makes this kind of licensing extremely desirable for small businesses. The downside to this is that the cost of the license can quickly get out of control as companies try to push the limits of the product in terms of usage.

At some point the templates will become so extensive that the unlimited licenses become out of reach for the small business that originally purchased the template. If this happens then the template can become a legacy product. This can result in new companies purchasing licenses in Word to enable their use and keeping the old templates out of the trash bin.

Templates can also quickly become over complex to implement in a new company. In this case it is much better to use templates in Word that have been designed for larger operations. These templates are usually available for free and can easily be adapted to a smaller company or individual.

Some organizations have found that a good fit is to use a template in Word that comes from a larger company that offers templates in Word as a service. This can significantly lower the prices for companies that can afford to license such products. such products because of the large number of customers that they have already won and the many more that they will be able to win in the future.
