The first step in creating the timeline should begin with the setting up of the application. It should be noted that Word can open several different applications.
The first program that should be opened is the Word Beginning Word document. This can be found by clicking on Word Beginning under the Tools menu. Once it is set up the Beginning Word document should be moved into the Documents folder of the computer.
The next step is to select the Word document and then click on the Show menu. This menu will display the Application list and once it is displayed in the template for Word can be selected and the Create New Document box should be selected.
The next thing that needs to be done is to select the Word Beginning document that was previously selected. This can be done by clicking on the Edit button in the Word menu located on the top right side of the screen. Once this is selected, the following steps need to be completed.
The next step that needs to be completed is to click on the Word Template. This can be done by clicking on the icon located in the upper left corner of the screen. Once the Word Template is selected the next step is to click on the Export Tagged Button.
Once the Save Template button is clicked the next step is to click on the Select Timeline Template option. Once this is selected the template for Word can be selected and it can be opened. When the timeline is opened, the following steps need to be completed.
The next step is to select the Timeline Action that is provided for the Word Beginning document. Once this is selected, the following steps need to be completed.
The last step in creating a template for Word is to click on the File button located in the upper right corner of the screen. After the Word file has been opened, it is ready to be edited and to be saved.
