How to Create Labels in Microsoft Word to Fit Any Label Needs _ Office Support Microsoft Word comes with a number of great mailing label templates that enable you to type quickly and create and print numerous labels on a single sheet of standard labels. Under the Labels and Frames section, click on the Options button at the top. Here you will find three options:

Label with plain text or image _ This option enables you to create labels in Microsoft word and then edit them using Microsoft Word's special features including the handy text boxes and drop_down lists. To add your contact list type the name in the text box and then add any other information required. You can also include a graphic such as a company logo. If you are printing labels in Microsoft Word, this is a great option because you can preview the label and change any information you desire before printing.

Label with image _ Here you will create a Label in Microsoft Word, choose an image file to use or upload your own image and then proceed to the Print dialog box. There you will select the number of sheets you want to print and your location. You can also change the size of the label and the color if you wish. You may want to create more than one label. Then all you have to do is choose a style for the text label and type your information. Click the Print button.

Label with multiple pages _ You can print labels in Microsoft Word to fit multiple pages at a time. To do this, first make sure that your active document is printed. Select the Page tab and then click Print to print. This will bring up your options and you can pick how many pages you want to print, either by whole page or by part page. Click OK.

Create invisible margins _ To create invisible margins around a text box or figure, simply right_click on the item and choose Margins. Then click in the Available Space section. A blank space will appear and you can enter a specific value for the margin. You can also pick a different color for the invisible margin. Now you can see a figure or text on the specified page and it will not be blocked by the invisible margin.

Add text to already_printed labels _ To add new text to an existing label, first add a Word document to your computer, and then open the document in Microsoft Word. Use the Insert tab on the toolbar to choose the text you would like to place on the label. Use the Format tab to modify the appearance of the text and then finally press the return key on the keyboard to print the label. This is a very simple way to create labels in Microsoft Word but it does work well if you are just starting out in the design industry. It helps to know how Word works so that when you start developing other applications in the future, you will be able to quickly create labels in Word without much difficulty. You can experiment with different text and label styles until you find the one that suits your needs best.

Use Microsoft Word's guidelines _ When you are creating labels in Microsoft Word, you can use the guidelines to show one label at a time or all labels at once. When you select a label in the toolbar or the menu bar, you will be able to see a grid on the right_hand side of the toolbar or the menu bar that displays the current contents of the selected label. Right_clicking on the gridlines will display different options, such as copying and pasting the gridlines or moving them. The best part about the guidelines is that you can change their appearance or background using the color and style options available in Microsoft Word.

If you need to print many labels in Microsoft Word, you may want to use one application for all your labeling needs. You can create a new template that will serve as the primary application for printing all the other labels in Microsoft Word. Once you have created this template, you can customize it by adding text boxes, images, heading elements, etc., and then save it as a template so that you can create a new document in Word that has just what you want printed on it. In the Design view, you will also be able to select the layout for the label so that it will fit perfectly on your document. When you have everything set up just like the way you want it, save your file, and then repeat the process for all the other labels that you want printed.
