If you're like me then you've probably already tried printing a free blank certificate in Word. It doesn't get any easier than that, does it? You simply select the document that you want to print, select the print option and press "Print." And then your certificate is printed for you in seconds.
While this might seem relatively simple, it's really not. Because even the best printer with free blank certificate templates for Word can make mistakes. And when you're dealing with something as important as a free blank certificate, things can really get hokey. So here are some tips to help make sure that your certificates are as perfect as they can be.
First of all, don't use a template that's designed for Word. If it's anything like the default font that comes with Word, then you're going to end up with lots of errors. These won't just show up in print; they'll show up in your email as well (and in your incoming and outgoing messages in most forms of MS mail). And believe me, people who are sending you critical information in a MS Outlook message aren't messing around _ they're trying to steal your identity!
Secondly, don't use a blank certificate free template for Word that doesn't come with a "Templates" button. I know that it sounds silly, but people often just save these templates on their computer and forget about them. They may come back to try and download them later, only to find that they don't have any "Templates" links. So keep an eye on your "favorite places" for these files.
Thirdly, don't use a template that requires you to fill in all of the fields. Most blank certificate providers will force you to enter the social security number, birth date, etc. If you don't know what all of these numbers are, then don't use the file. You should be able to figure that out by yourself (and if not, then just change your social security number and birth date to something more secure). Even if the template asks you to do this, there's no need to do so! Use the blank certificate provider's freely available list of valid social security numbers, and you'll be fine.
Fourth, use blank certificate free templates for Word that allows you to download and print the certificates directly from Microsoft Office Online. That's right _ you can get your own professionally_printed blank certificates with just a few clicks of your mouse. Once again, don't even think about using a free template for Word _ they're always too expensive. Instead, go ahead and use Office Online. It's free and it has all the necessary features to make printing certificates a snap.
Fifth, if you still have no use for the blank certificate free templates for Word that we've been talking about, you can always resort to getting a bookmarklet. Bookmarklets are simply files that you can place on your computer that allow you to search for and open documents that are stored in specific folders. For example, if you want to print a certificate, you might search for "vehicle insurance certificates" in the default search engine and find them. Once you find the bookmarklet that you want, open it up and use it to print the document. There's no need to download or install anything on your computer _ the bookmarklet will automatically open when you save the document.
Finally, if you still have no use for the blank certificate free templates for Word that we've been talking about, you can always resort to getting a blank certificate from your bank. Most banks issue thousands upon thousands of blank certificates that you can use for almost any reason. However, blank certificate is not available for every type of document that the bank issues. It depends on which type of document the bank is going to issue, and what kind of security feature they'll be putting into place before issuing the certificate. Needless to say, this can be quite expensive, but it's worth it if you want to avoid spending money over again on different forms of blank certificates.
