Google Docs has become one of the most popular ways to share calendars and schedule events online. You can also use it to schedule email, notes, meetings and more. To help you take full control over your events, you should convert your Google Docs calendar into editable calendar. This will allow you to keep track of multiple appointments at the same time, add notes and pictures and edit them at a later date. It is much easier than trying to remember what someone was supposed to do for their meeting and then forgetting about it.
There are many different calendar apps available online, but none offer all of the features that Doc has to offer. This means that many people are still using MS Outlook as their main calendar application. With Google Docs you can take your current notes and insert them into your online calendar for easy access. You can also add events from Outlook or other applications. You have to be careful with how you edit the editable calendar.
If you try to make changes to the calendar while it is open, it won't show up in the editable calendar until the edit session is complete. You will also have to restart the doc. You will need to delete all of your saved changes to the calendar before you can resume editing it. Once the editable calendar is open in the main page, you can change the day, month and year at the top of the page. The current date and time will be shown in blue. There are two buttons on the right side of the calendar page, click on the button and it will open a new day.
Click on the calendar in the main page and you will be able to see a little message that says "You have un_boxed the items". Un_boxes anything that you don't need to store or edit. You can then highlight any items and click on the drop_down menu that says "Share with me". Now you can send it as an email or save it to your own list. Note that the people you add to this list will also be notified of any new changes in your calendar.
To edit a particular day in the calendar, click on the little arrow next to the day you want to change. You will see a drop_down menu with your options. Select the desired option and then click on "Save." A new dialog box will open where you can add as many people as you want to the list and choose a password if you so desire. If you select the drop_down menu for "People" just be sure that the list contains the names of all of those who will be able to see the changes you make.
You may find it easier to edit the calendar in a text editor like Notepad. To edit the document in this way, first click on the word "calendar" and then click on the appropriate icon to open the editable calendar. The icon is usually a pencil.
To edit the editable calendar in Google Docs, first click on the little arrow next to the day you want to change. Then type in the new information and click on "Save to Calendar." A new dialog box will open and you can add as many people to the document as you want. To close this window click on the small arrow on the top left of the document.
A calendar can be a very useful tool in keeping everyone informed of upcoming events. However, it can be difficult to edit them or even look at the event schedule. Fortunately with Google Docs and a bit of practice it's easy to edit a calendar. First click on the "Calendars" link under the main menu at the top of the page. On the left side of the page there is a drop_down menu for" calendars," click on it and choose "New." Type in a name for your editable calendar and save it.
