Writing an employment letter of agreement is a very important step in the employment process. The employment letter of agreement is one document that proves that you have been hired for a particular job and that you have agreed to the terms and conditions mentioned in your employment contract. When writing the employment letter of agreement, keep in mind that it should be simple, professional and formal. You should include all the relevant details that are mentioned in the employment contract. There should be no vague wording or references to any later legal provisions. It is advisable to put a date to the letter so that your prospective employer can take it from you if necessary. The letter should also be signed by you and the signing parties to ensure that there are no mistakes made.

You should consider the employment letter of agreement as the initial stage of the employment process. In fact, the whole document serves as the preamble to the employment contract. It explains in simple, comprehensible language all the terms and conditions of the contract. At the end of it, one can include a signature and return address, indicating to whom the employment letter of agreement is being sent and the date of receipt. However, before sending out the letter, ensure that it has been approved by both the parties (the one who has hired you and the one who has agreed to hire you).

Make sure you sign your name in the upper portion of the agreement and not the lower portion. This is to avoid ambiguity. In the other hand, if you prefer, you may sign the bottom of the page where it states, "We hereby acknowledge that this contract has been duly executed, signed, acknowledged, and accepted by us in accordance with the laws of our country." The signature below should also include your name, contact details, and your employer's name.
