MS Word is now the latest word processor in the market and has been designed by Microsoft for more than thirty years. With so many improvements in this word processing software, it has replaced many of its competitors. It is one of the most popular word processors and can be used for regular, visual work and printing tasks. There are several tools that can be used to create a label template in MS Word. The process involved is as follows:
o Select the templates from a range of available choices _ MS Word allows users to select from a wide variety of templates including WordArt, Trendsel, Photoshop, and others. You can even make your own if you have knowledge in this regard. To do this, go to the main menu and then click on "Templates". A list of all the available templates will appear and you can choose from them according to your needs.
O Double_click on the "Add" button _ a new text box will appear and you will be required to enter some basic information such as the name of the company, the name of the person who will perform the task at hand, the brief description of the aim of the project and so on. Once you have entered the data, click on "Search" to display a list of all the options. You can select from a wide array of options and then click on "ointedirectories".
O Click on the "Create" button _ a new text box will appear and you will be required to enter the text. You may either use the default format or modify it as per your requirements. Type the title, first name, and last name of the company or individual you wish to label. If there are multiple people in the company, use plural names for better visibility. Type a sensible description to hold people's attention to the label you have created.
O Click on "OK" _ a new text box will appear and you will be required to enter some more information. Use the same format as the first text box and do not forget to indent all the spaces. The company or individual you wish label will now be highlighted in yellow. To make the label template more readable, use a dark font. Click "Finish" to dismiss it.
O Click on the "imported" tab _ a new text box will appear. In this box, enter all the information you had initially typed on the label template. Use commas to separate the various items. Be careful to indicate which name belongs to which person or group. Use tabs to indicate groups instead of plain spaces.
O Save your changes _ a new text box will appear. In this box, enter the name of the person or group whom you had asked to receive a label. Use tabs to indicate different names or groups. A button will appear next to each name indicating whether the label has been saved. When this button is pressed, the label template will be automatically applied to your document.
O Click on "Preview" to preview the changes _ a red arrow will appear on the top right corner of the template. This will guide you as you click on the "Save" button. When finished, the label template will be printed out on the paper. Then you can use it anytime you need to label any Word document.
O If there are any errors in the text or name entered, a red check mark will appear. A smiley face will replace the error if one is found. A plus sign will give you options for resubmitting the document. Click "OK."
O Choose the location of the button_click target _ a drop_down list will appear. Select "Link to:" and enter the URL of the resource you want to reference. If you need to link to more than one page, use hyphens to delimit the pages. A dotted line will be displayed underneath the "Sponsored Links" section.
O Click on "Start" to run the application. If necessary, click "Stop" to end the application. The results of your new Word document will be sent to your e_mail address. To complete your project, click on "Finish." A progress report will appear and you can view all the changes made on the Word document.
