Microsoft Word (otherwise known as Word) is an excellent word processor, and a great tool to create and modify documents. There are a number of templates available for download on the web, however it can be confusing creating address labels from Microsoft Word. Firstly, you must know what type of template you require _ there are tabular, overlay, or drop down labels. Depending on the type of label you require, you will need to adjust the font size, font color, and position of the text. This article is meant to provide you with a simple step_by_step guide to creating your own labels from Microsoft Word.

To open Microsoft Word, click on the "Tools" icon in the menu at the top of the screen. Then click on "Editing Tools", and the text you want to label will appear. Under the "Normal" tab, you will see a list of options. Click on "List Fonts" and choose the fonts you want to use for the label.

If you need to create a centered text label, you will find that the "Center" option is not available. If you click on "Other", you will see a variety of other options including radius, fill color, and aligning the text. One of the easiest ways to create a centered label in Word is to make an outline around the area you want to label. Using the pen tool, draw a tight shape around the area you wish to label, and then create a drop down or fill option in the shape to customize the label. Finally, click on the "OK" button to save your changes and return to the main document.

One tip for creating your own Microsoft Word address label template is to use a table of contents so that you have something to work with after you create the label. You can also drag and drop items from one area of the template onto another area to create subtitles. If you would like to create your own label from an existing clip art image or pattern, you will find that the wizard makes it easy to add this to the template. Just click on "Clip Art" in the "Templates" drop down menu and pick an appropriate image from a gallery. To align the text box, just drag the text box to the left, then double_click in the text box to place it where you want it. To align the picture to the current coordinates of the selected text box, click near the lower right corner of the text box. To format the label, first make all the desired changes to the text box and then double_click the button titled "Formatted". You will then be given a choice of two different formats to choose from _ Letter and Legal. Select the letter format to form the body of your label, and click "OK". In the "Offers" section of the template you will need to enter a name for the company who will be using the Microsoft Word document as a reference, as well as the start and end date of the term.

An additional tab will allow you to drag and drop various objects onto the text box to customize the visual appearance of the box. The text boxes are placed at different locations on the page, so that you may alter their placement to better fit the objects which you wish to use them with. A "Remove box" button is available to the right of each box, and a "Remove" button is listed beneath the "Ending Effects". Double_click the button titled "Remove Box".
